Editorial photographer & art director

I'm Mire, the eye behind Mrs Take Me Out, an editorial photography practice for hospitality, food and places, working between Spain and Ireland.

I photograph what happens because a place exists: the people who create it, the rituals it hosts, the traces it leaves. My background combines Fine Arts, a PhD in Photography and Visual Arts, university teaching and years of art direction, so I don't just take pictures of a place: I turn what makes it distinctive into a visual story.

I work with independent hotels, restaurants, food brands and publications that care about atmosphere more than luxury. I'm often in Dublin, so if your project has something worth seeing, I'd love to look at it.
